I have been amazed and disappointed with the physical activity level of our youth. Our nation is continuing to head down the path of obesity and something needs to change. I believe this change must start with our youth. My student teaching at the middle school and high school levels has opened my eyes to some of the problems. A lot of our youth are lazy, unmotivated and seem to hate physical activity. It is my mission to find ways that will get our youth more involved in physical activity.

- Hello: My name is Shawna Yeager and I am currently a student teacher at Pendleton High School and am working towards my Masters degree in education. My BS was in PE with a monor in Health. I am a mother of three boys and have been married for over 15 years. Sports and competition are big interests of mine. With three boys I am involved with many types of sport and enjoy every minute of it. I wish that more kids would get out there and be active. Not only kids, but adults need the exercise too.
